Cancer Therapy Advisor (8/23, Lawrence) reported, “Delaying chemotherapy in patients with asymptomatic, advanced cancer does not appear to worsen overall survival (OS), according to a meta-analysis.” This “meta-analysis included 4 randomized controlled trials and 1 retrospective study that encompassed a total of 919 patients.” Cancer Therapy Advisor adds, “Three of the studies enrolled patients with colorectal cancer, 1 enrolled patients with ovarian cancer, and 1 enrolled patients with gastric cancer.” The findings were published in The Oncologist.
