Forbes (9/7, Broster) reports that “September marks Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month,” and “according to a new study, 78% of people were unaware of the five different gynecological cancers and 86% didn’t know what symptoms to look out for.” In the study, researchers spoke to 100 women between the ages of 18 and 44, and found “44% weren’t aware that they were indications of cancer and 62% didn’t know that constipation, feeling bloated, the need to pass urine more often, weight gain or loss or unexplained extreme tiredness could also all be manifestations of gynecological cancers.”
